Yoko Shirasaki holds a degree in literature at the University for Foreign Studies of Tokyo (Tokyo Giago);  She studies Italian language and literature and teaches at the Keio university in Tokyo.

She has published many works on the teaching of the Italian language, among which, DITALS for the teachers of Italian L” in Japan, edited by P. Diadori, M. S. Bigliazzi and C. Papi Centro Stampa and published by the Università per Stranieri of Siena.

She was also lecturer at the Radio NHK course of Italian.
