Anna Lia Proietti holds a degree in foreign languages and literature from the University of Pisa. She received the Itals Master degree in the teaching of Italian to foreigners. She got a Ph.d in glottodidactics at the University of Venice. She has been working for over 20 years in teaching Italian to foreigners and has published many articles about teaching. She is at present lecturer at the  department of Western Language and Let. at Yildiz University, Istanbul.
